Sun sets on local golf landmark

Picture of my article on Examiner-Enterprise.com

This was a fun story to do. I enjoyed talking to some of the people who had golfed there for many years, one since he was 10. It was a bit of a touchy subject, as far as the decline of the course, but most people were more interested in talking about the impact it had on the city for so many years.

I think that’s what most people wanted to read about, too.

All of the interviews were over the phone; some didn’t want to talk. I wish I would have had more time available to get a few more interviews, but I think it turned out fine despite the other circumstances limiting my ability to do so.

Quick bio

Picture of Johnathan Warlick

My name's Johnathan, and I love living; live I do, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. As a 20-year old college student studying Communications, I've been lucky enough to write for the local newspaper's sports section since fall 2007, although I'm currently having an affair with web design. (Keep it on the downlow, my word processor is the jealous type.)

Living Life

Currently ...

  1. Reading: "Silas Marner" by George Elliot
  2. Watching: Family Guy on DVD
  3. Listening: "The Glass Passenger" by Jack's Mannequin
  4. Playing: Call of Duty 2 on Xbox Live. I think I'll be doing this on my deathbed
  5. Thinking: What if what I think is red is actually green to everyone else? Or vice versa? How would we even know?
  6. Asking: How is it that the hardest critics of Obama weren't doing the same towards Bush during his last year. There seems to be little difference to me.
